1. How long has Auto Body Xperts been in business, and are you certified in any way?

Hudsonville Body Shop was created by Herb Schout and Gord Gurink in June of 1948. The original shop was located at 3480 Chicago Drive in Hudsonville, Michigan. Herb and Gord served the Hudsonville community, out of this location, until 1963, when Mr. Gurink decided to invest his time in mission work. At that time Mr. Mel Padding stepped in to become partners with Mr. Schout. Then, in 1982, Long time employee Robert Arnoldink and John Schout, son of Herb, decided to become partners and purchased the company from Mr. Schout. In 1992, Bob and John decided it was time to expand to a much larger and more high tech facility located at its current location on Highland Drive in Hudsonville.

  At Auto Body Xperts, we require our technicians to continually update their professional education to meet the needs of a constantly changing industry. Our technicians possess certifications issued by both I-CAR and ASE. In addition, our shops have been certified by the Certified First Network. This network, in conjunction with its partners and sponsors, such as PPG, 3M and the National Auto Body Council, are working hard to ensure that quality repairers are recognized and your repairs are completed by quality facilities.

2. Is there a warranty or guarantee?
 
Yes, we have a lifetime guarantee on the repairs done at  Auto Body Xperts  for as long as you own the car and a nationwide guarantee if you move out of state.

3. How long will the repair take, will I be without a car, or do you have loaners?
 
Our professional Xpert estimators will write a comprehensive estimate on your vehicle and determine the length of your repair. Once we disassemble your vehicle we will be able to determine if there is any hidden damage and call you regarding any additional time needed for these repairs.  Enterprise Car Rental services all of our locations and provides professional and courteous employees to pick you up and get you on the road fast.

4. Can you assist or help me save on my deductible?
 
Your deductible is a binding contract with your insurance company. We do not enter into negotiation over your deductible.

5. Can you also fix “THIS” or roll this repair into the insurance coverage?
 
We can do additional repair work at the time of your scheduled repair; however, we cannot roll it into the insurance claim. By fixing prior damage while your car is already in the shop, you can realize a considerable savings on the repair of “old damage”. Our estimator will be happy to prepare an estimate on additional damage.

6. Will the color match?
 
Yes, the color will match. We have an in-house “paint kitchen” and we will match the color using a sophisticated computer program. Our software allows us to match your color exactly.

7. Will my car be the same? How about hidden damage?
At Auto Body Xperts, it is our goal to restore every vehicle to pre-accident condition. We take our job seriously and will guarantee our repairs for the lifetime that you own the vehicle. Regarding hidden damage, once the vehicle has been disassembled we will be able to determine what else has been damaged. That's our X-Ray process. If additional damage is found, we will then deal directly with you and the insurance company to complete all repairs necessary to restore your vehicle.

8. How much will it cost, or why does it cost so much?
 
Cost is determined by each repair and the damages found. Our professional estimators will write you a comprehensive estimate that shows each part of the repair and the total cost associated. If additional damage is found we will communicate that with you and the insurance company immediately and verify approval before proceeding.

9. Will you communicate directly with my insurance company?
 
Yes. As a direct repair facility for most insurance companies, we have a tremendous amount of experience dealing with these claims. We will work closely with your insurance company to complete your repair quickly and with high quality and get you back on the road.

10. How soon can you start working on my car? How long will it take?
Based on your estimate, as soon as we receive your approval for repairs, we will order the necessary parts and schedule your repair. With 3 locations in the West Michigan Area, we can easily schedule your repair for a time and location that is most convenient for you.
